Boiler Feed Booster Pumps

They are installed in front of boiler feed pumps to ensure the necessary suction head (a greater NPSH available) for the main pump, so that this does not cavitate in any operating range.

PD

Double Flow Axially Split

Designed for feeding water at pumping temperatures up to 165°C to boiler feed pumps at the 300 and 250 MW power units in thermal power stations.
Flexibly-coupled, motor-driven horizontal single-stage axially split volute-casing centri-fugal pumps with a double entry radial impeller.
The pump rotor is carried by the plain bearings with ring lubrication. Shaft sealing: packed glands.

Double Flow Radially Split

Designed to deliver feedwater at pumping temperatures up to 165°C to boiler feed pumps in 800, 500 and 320 MW power plants.
Employed for high flow rates on account of the small suction heads available (depending on the height of the feedwater tank above the pump cetreline).
Turbine-driven horizontal single-stage radially split (vertically-split) volute-casing centri-fugal pumps with a double entry radial impeller.
The pump rotor is carried by the pressure lubricated plain bearings. Shaft sealing: mechanical seals.
