Special Duty Pumps For NPS Service
(Pumps For Safety Circuits In Nuclear Power Stations)

Double Flow Axially Split

The TsNSA 700-140 pumps are designed for supplying boric acid solutions for spray nozzles of a sprinkler system to cool the safety shell of a nuclear power plant during failure (used as sprinkler system supply pumps or containment spray pumps).
The TsNR 800-230 pumps are designed for injection of boric acid solutions at the pumping temperature up to 150°C into the reactor fuel core (used as a decay heat removal pump) with the purpose of its essential cooling service following a scheduled shutdown and emergency cooling in the event of failure (used as emergency coolant injection pumps).
Motor driven centreline mounted, horizontal single-stage axially split volute-casing pumps with a double entry impeller. The pumps are mutually unified and differ only in the impeller diameter. The pump rotor is carried by the radial plain bearings and a thrust antifriction bearing. Shaft sealing: mechanical seals. Gear-type coupling.

Radially Split Barrel

Designed for injection of boric acid solutions into the PWR reactor fuel core with the purpose of its essential cooling service following a scheduled shutdown and emergency cooling in the event of failure.
Used as emergency coolant injection pumps or decay heat removal pumps:

  · emergency coolant injection pump TsN 160-110
  · HP emergency coolant injection pump ATsNA 150-140
  · LP emergency coolant injection pump TsNSA 700-140a

The TsNSA 750-140 pumps are designed for supplying boric acid solutions for spray nozzles of a sprinkler system to cool the safety shell of a NPS during failure, e. g. in case of pressure increase in the shell (used as sprinkler system supply pumps or containment spray pumps).

Motor driven horizontal centreline mounted, multistage radially split diffuser barrel-casing centrifugal pumps with a withdrawable cartridge of ring-section type. Single flow impeller arrangement, with all the impellers facing the same way. Pumps TsNSA 750-140 and TsNSA 750-140a are equipped with an inducer to reduce NPSH requirements. Rotor axial balancing with disk. The pump rotor is carried by the oil-ring lubricated plain bearings. Shaft sealing: mechanical seals. Weld-end nozzles radial to the top.
