Designed to deliver feedwater at pumping temperatures up to 190°C from the de-aerator (gas extractor) under the pressure of 0.69 MPa ( 7 kgf/cm2 ) to PTA 3750-75 BFP at the NPS power units equipped with VVER-1000 pressure water reactors (used as a backing-up pump to generate the necessary NPSH for a cavitation-free operation of the main pump).
Turbine driven horizontal, near centreline-mounted, single-stage radially split volute-casing centrifugal pump with a double entry impeller. Weld-end suction nozzle radial to the bottom. The pump rotor is carried by the oil-ring lubricated plain bearings. Shaft sealing: mechanical seals.
